Simon is18 years old. He lives in Makina, Kibera. Simon and his six siblings have been raised by their mother who a single parent is running a small grocery in Makina. He completed his high school education at Starays secondary school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus). Simon aspires to be a nurse.

Grivit Omun’gala

Grivit is 19 years old. He lives in Mashimoni, Kibera. Grivit and his six siblings lost their dad and have been raised single handedly by their mother who does menial household jobs. He completed his high school education at Starays secondary school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus).

Christabel Muhanda

Christabel is 19 years old. She lives in Makina, Kibera. Christabel lives with her aunt, a casual laborer. She completed her secondary school education at New Horizon High School and scored a mean grade of D plain. While in school, she sang in the choir. In future, Christabel aspires to be a philanthropist.

Fedine is 18 years old. He lives in Mashimoni, Kibera. He lives with his parents and 3 siblings. His dad is a casual laborer. Fedine completed his secondary school education at Maono secondary school and scored a D- (minus). He aspires to be an entrepreneur.

Demesi is 20 years old. He lives with his dad and 5 siblings in Mashimoni Kibera. Demesi’s dad is a tailor. He completed his secondary school education in St. Pauls’ Mashimoni secondary school and scored a mean grade of D plain. While in school, he played football. Demesi spires to be a businessman.

Nebert is 19 years old. He lives in Soweto Kibera. He lives with his mother, a casual laborer and five siblings. Nebert went to Maono secondary school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus). While in high school, Nebert belonged to the debate club and played football. He aspires to be a software developer.

Ivan is 20 years old. He lives in Raila, Kibera with his parents and three siblings. His father is a casual laborer whereas his mum is a housewife. Joyce is 19 years old. She lives in Gatwekera, Kibera with her parents and six siblings. Her mum sells fish whereas her dad is a casual laborer at a construction site. Joyce attended Soweto Girls High school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus). While in school, Joyce was in the debate club. She aspires to be an electrical engineer.

Collince is 18 years old. He lives with his parents and 3 siblings in Fort Jesus, Kibera. Collince’s dad is a casual laborer while his mum works at a salon. He completed his secondary school education in Nambale boys’ high school and scored a mean grade of C plain. Collince played football and lawn tennis while in school. He wants to pursue mass communication and become a producer/news anchor/DJ.

Nancy Atieno

Nancy is 20 years old. She lives with her parents and five siblings in Wiobiero, Homa bay. Nancy’s mom has prolonged illness and can’t work, her Dad who runs a small business of selling chicken at the local market is the bread winner. Nancy completed her secondary education in 2022 at Wiobiero secondary school and scored a mean grade of C-(minus). While in school she played football. Nancy aspires to be a nurse.

Mary is 22 years old. She lives with her mom and four siblings in Wiobiero. Her mom who is the bread winner is a community health worker in Rodi Kopany, Homa bay. Mary completed her secondary school education at Ngere mixed secondary school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus). Mary aspires to become a fashion designer.

Ephy is 20 years old. Ephy lives with her brother in Muche, Homa bay. She’s the last born in a family of three. Her brother who is the bread winner works at a wholesale distributor in Rodi Kopany, Homa bay. Mary completed her secondary school education in 2022 in Ngere mixed secondary school and scored a mean grade of D+ (plus). While in school, Mary was member of the music club. Her desire is to pursue food and beverage in college.

Lucy Akinyi

Lucy is 19 years old. She lives in Wiobiero, Homa bay with her mom and five siblings. Her mom who is the bread winner of the family sells vegetables at the market. Lucy completed her secondary school education at Ngere mixed secondary school and scored a mean grade of D-(minus). Lucy was a member of the Kenya Scouts while school. She would love to pursue Information Communication Technology in college.
